Vibrating Fork Level Switch

The Vibrating Fork Level Switch (Vibrofork) can be used on almost any liquid, from LPGs to bitumens. As a fail safe level switch it can be installed in any orientation, above, below or sideways even in pipework.

Vibrating fork level switch has SIL2 conformance and carry WHG overfill certification.

  • Works in any orientation with a tuning fork of up user-specified length

  • Electronics are Self monitoring for damage, corrosion or heavy build up on forks

Application

Sensing Technologies

 

 

RADAR – Continuous level measurement with alarm trip for Hi and/or HiHi conditions. Accuracy +/-2mm, Exd or Exi. Level reading can be forwarded on to tank gauging system.

 

VIBRATING FORK – Extra High Reliability – continuous self testingwith optional IN LOOP PROOF TEST facility, Accuracy +/-1mm, Exd or Exi.

 

DISPLACEMENT FLOAT SWITCH – dual versions available, integrated padlockable self-test facility, Accuracy +/-5mm, Exd, Exi

 

Processing and Annunciation

 

At the heart of SILGuard is a SAFETY PLC, programmed using function blocks by Certified Functional Safety Engineers.
For the safety functions, annunciation is made to external and internal BEACONS and SOUNDERS (often in redundant pairs) and tank ingress shut-off is achieved by direct action to failsafe SIL incorporated VALVE/ACTUATOR combinations.
Other options include full colour TOUCH SCREENS for continuous graphical display of tank status, or MIMIC PANELS where the tank alarm display can be incorporated into the safety function.
 
Competence     SILGuard is provisioned with competence. We will support you throughout the safety lifecycle process and help to establish and justify your case and assist with the interface to governing bodes such as the HSE.

Radar Level Switch

mPuls radar gauges provide level measurement to an accuracy of +/-3mm and carry functional safety certification to SIL2. With mPuls the same transmitter can be used for high or low level switching and tank gauging or continuous level measurement.
